SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, scattered in Bago, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated haevyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.24 inches in Hlegu, 2.05 inches in Bago, 1.86 inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), 1.77 inches in Hakha, 1.73 inches in Kawkareik, 1.58 inches in Pantanaw, 1.57 inches each in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), Homalin and Mudon, 1.50 inches in Taunggu, 1.46 inches in Khayan and 1.38 inches in Okkan.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal.
