SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kachin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.68 inches in Dawei, 3.70 inches each in Mudon and Kyeikkhame, 3.19 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 2.92 inches in Ye, 2.84 inches in Kangyidaunt, 2.68 inches each in Paung and Chaungsone, 2.36 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 2.17 inches each in Hlegu and Kyonpyaw, 2.13 inches in Thaton and 2.09 inches in Zalun.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts..
