BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and strong over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal (India) still persists.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 18th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Region and Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls rain or thundershowers in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
