SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Magway Region and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.85 inches in Hkamti, 5.67 inches in Kyaukpyu, 5.51 inches in Taunggu(Avia-Met), 4.40 inches in Bogale, 3.66 inches in Mudon, 3.39 inches in Paung, 2.33 inches in Hpa-an, 2.17 inches in Mawlamyine, 2.13 inches each in Kawkareik and Kyeikmayaw and 2.01 inches in Hpa-an (Agro-Met).
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Jharkhand (India) still persists.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stJune 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
