SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.17 inches in Shwekyin, 3.86 inches in Madauk, 3.51 inches in Okpho, 3.27 inches in Putao, 2.72 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 2.64 inches in Nyaunglaybin, 2.56 inches in Dawei, 1.89 inches in Myitkyina, 1.85 inches in Naypyitaw (Ottarathiri) and 1.81 inches in Tharrawady.

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh coasts now lies over Coastal area of West Bengal. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards and continue across West Bengal, North Odisha and Jharkhand, India during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, scattered in Magway  Region and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
