SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.54 inches in Hainggyigyun, 5.35 inches in Putao, 4.89 inches in Labutta, 4.14 inches in Homalin, 3.92 inches in Kangyidaunt, 3.82 inches in Sittwe, 3.70 inches in Maubin, 3.11 inches in Pathein, 3.03 inches in Kyonpyaw and 2.40 inches in Theinzayet.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of strong monsoon.
