SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.89 inches in Hainggyigyun, 5.12 inches in Kyaukpyu, 5.00 inches in Labutta, 4.41 inches in Paungbyin, 3.19 inches in Sittwe, 3.03 inches each in Myeik and Bogale, 2.83 inches in Dawei, 2.69 inches in Dedaye, 2.64 inches in Homalin and 2.56 inches in Kungyangon.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Special Weather: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal has reached over Southwest Gangetic West Bengal, India still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards and across Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh, India during next 2 days.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
