SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.53 inches in Paung, 2.20 inches in Mawlamyine, 2.13 inches in Chaungsone, 2.01 inches in Pinlaung, 1.93 inches in Taunggu, 1.89 inches each in Nyaunglaybin and Mudon, 1.61 inches each in Putao and Thaton, 1.57 inches in Paungbyin and 1.50 inches in Ye.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Weather: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand, India has weakened.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
