SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.15 inches in Paung, 2.68 inches in Belin, 2.48 inches in Mogaung, 2.36 inches in Putao, 2.32 inches in Thaton, 2.29 inches each in Khayan and Hpa-an, 2.24 inches in Myawady, 2.17 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 1.77 inches in Pinlaung and 1.50 inches in Shwekyin.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
