SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Southern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.50 inches in Pinlaung, 5.31 inches in Shwekyin, 4.53 inches in Madauk, 2.64 inches in Putao, 1.81 inches in Hkamti, 1.73 inches in Mogaung, 1.57 inches each in Tada U(Avia-Met) and Myitkyina, 1.54 inches in Nyaunglaybin, 1.45 inches in Mandalay (Aungmyaythasan) and 1.35 inches in Kawthaung.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Rakhine State widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Kachin, Shan States.
