SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Chin, Rakhine States, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Magway Regions and widespread in remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.09 inches in Pinlaung, 2.87 inches in Nyaung Shwe, 2.83 inches in Taunggyi, 2.76 inches in Monyin, 2.72 inches in Pyawbwe, 2.48 inches in Labutta, 2.46 inches in Taungtha, 2.44 inches in Kyaukpadaung, 2.12 inches each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Ye and 2.01 inches in Hpa-an.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.
