2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off Odisha Coast, India) has moved West–Northwestwards slowly and now lies over South coastal Odshia, India still persists. It is likely continue to move West–Northwestwards and may reach interior Odisha and Chhatitisgarh, India and downgrade into a Low Pressuer Area during next 12 hours. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway  Regions, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing  Region and Kachin, Kayah, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA:. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States
