SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Magway Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.00 inches in Paing Kyone, 2.91 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 2.52 inches in Taungdwingyi, 2.40 inches each in Mudon and Minesat, 2.35 inches in Tachileik, 2.17 inches in Dawei, 2.13 inches in Pinlaung, 1.89 inches in Kauntung, 1.82 inches in Mongping and 1.77 inches in Loilin.

BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Odisha and adjoining Chhatitisgarh, India, has moved West-Northwestwards slowly and reached the central parts of Chhatitisgarh, India. It is likely continue to move West–Northwestwards and gradually weakened. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States
