BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the wind wave over the Rakhine, Chin States and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal has crossed over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Rakhine, Chin States. It may further intensify into a Low Pressure Area over the North Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 2nd September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas are will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
