13-9-2025: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (Off North Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and across South Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah, Kayin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Kachin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.36 inches in Khayan, 2.13 inches in Labutta, 2.09 inches in Shwebo, 2.01 inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 1.97 inches in Yangon(Kaba-Aye), 1.86 inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), 1.74 inches in Thazi, 1.69 inches in Maubin, 1.65 inches in Phyarpon and 1.58 inches in Danubyu.

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
