SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.66 inches Homalin, 3.43 inches in Shwebo, 2.99 inches in Phaungbyin, 2.60 inches in Sittwe, 1.94 inches in Homein, 1.77 inches in Heho, 1.60 inches in Patheingyi, 1.57 inches in Loikaw, 1.46 inches in Zalun and 1.45 inches in Pantanaw.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
