SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, Southern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Bago Region and Kachin State, isolated in Ayeyarwady Region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were  (5°C) above May normal temperatures in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing and Magway Regions, (Northern and Southern ) Shan and Chin States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State, (2°C) below May normal temperatures in Kayin and Mon States and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (45°C) in Gangaw, (44°C) each in Monywa and Myinmu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (2.83)inches, Paung (2.32)inches, Mudon (2.01)inches, Pyinoolwin (1.57)inches, Thaton (1.26)inches, Monywa (1.14)inches, Naungcho, Mogoke and Mawlamyine (1.10)inches each, Myingyan and Yangon(Mingaladon) (1.02)inches each, Mingin (0.87)inch and Kalewa and Shwekyin (0.83)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Southern Shan, Kayin and Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 15th May, 2019: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).
