SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypitaw, Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (7.76)inches, Mudon (3.82)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.58)inches, Launglon (3.23)inches, Machanbaw (3.07)inches, Mawlamyine (2.99)inches, Thandwe (2.79)inches, Hmawbi(Agro-met) (2.68)inches, Manaung (2.44)inches, Mogaung, Hkamti and Central-Yangon (2.24)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th June, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
