SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Shan (North and East) State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin, Kayah and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and isolated heavy falls in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hainggyigyun (5.98)inches, Machanbaw (2.32)inches, Madaya (2.20)inches, Thabeikkyin (1.97)inches, Saw (1.90)inches, Monywa (1.81)inches, Kyemone, Meiktila and Hpapun (1.69)inches each and Mingin (1.65)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal, its centered at about (180)miles south-southeast of Puri and (235)miles South of Chandbali India. It is likely to move North-Northwest wards. It is forecast to further intensify and cross Odisha coast near Puri and Chandbali during next (24)hours. Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and Shan (North and East) States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-10)feet in off and along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
