27-7-2024: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha, India has weaken into a Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below February average temperatures in Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan State and (2°C) below February average temperatures in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above February average temperature in Mandalay Region and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) each in Mongyang and Hakha, (5°C) each in Namsam (Southern Shan) and Heho and (6°C) in Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.28) inch in Machanbaw and (0.11) inch in Putao.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Southeast Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd February 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Kachin State.
