SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below February average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Mongyang, (6°C) in Hakha and (8°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan) and Heho. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.39) inch in Putao, (0.24) inch in Hkamti and (0.20) inch each in Machanbaw and Homalin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th February 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Chin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States.
