SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44°C in Chauk, 43°C in Minbu and 42°C each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Tada U(Aviation), Magway, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun and Pyay. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.30 inches in Machanbaw, 1.11 inches in Putao, 0.12 inch in Tamu and 0.08 inch Moemate.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions.
