27-7-2024: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha, India has weaken into a Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy to over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be Fairly wispread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Kayah State.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 16th May 2024:    Possibility of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 40%.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 16th May 2024:          Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 60%.
