SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mon State, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and isolated heavy falls in Southern Shan State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Patheingyi (6.43)inches, Amarapura (5.48)inches, Tada-U (Air port) (5.28)inches, Myittha (5.25)inches, Mandalay (5.16)inches, Kyaukse (5.08)inches, Singaing (4.56) inches, Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri) (4.06)inches, Naypyitaw(Pobathiri) (3.94)inches, Lunkyaw (3.66)inches, Pyinmana (3.58)inches, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (3.43)inches and Taunggyi (3.11)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and East Central Bay and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Sagaing Region and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-8) feet in along Myanmar Coast.
