2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States and rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myeik (0.43)inch, Yay (0.39)inch and  Pyinoolwin (0.16)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th October, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Shan, Chin and Rakhine States.
