SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Shan(North and East) State, scattered in Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Bhamo (2.99)inches, Moenyin (2.64)inches, Magway (2.01) inches, Hlaningbwe (1.64)inches, Katha and Mawlaik (1.61)inches each, Gwa and Thaton (1.58)inches each, Mindat (1.26)inches, Moemate and Zaungtu (1.19)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak over the elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Yangon Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
