27-7-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Costal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and North Odisha, India during next 12 hrs. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Severe Cyclonic Storm Condition

According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” over Westcentral Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu coasts has moved nearly Northwards almost to South Andhra Pradesh coast and crossing South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam and near Bapatla.

During next (12) hrs forecast

Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” is likely to move North-Northeastwards. It may weaken into a Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” during next (12)hrs.

Due to the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” people should be aware rain or thundershowers with strong wind and domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
