27-7-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Costal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and North Odisha, India during next 12 hrs. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Significant Water Level Bulletin 

(Issued at 15:00 hr M.S.T on 5-4-2022)

       According to the (12:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ayeyarwady River at Myitkyina is (620) cm, the water level rose about (8½) feet within 2nd and 3rd April, and it fall about (4)feet on 4th April. The water level  rose about (9) feet on 5th  April, 2022.

      The water levels, which rose at upper Ayeyarwady river, may rise above their present water levels by about (8) feet to (9) feet at Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha during the next (1) to (3) days, about (10) feet to (12) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing and Myinmu during the next (7) days, about (8) feet to (10) feet at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway and Aunglan during the next (10) days, and about (6) feet to (7½) feet at Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the next (13) days.

     It is advised that the vessels running along the river and those who made plantations on sandbank during these period should make precaution measures for the rise of water level.
