27-7-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Costal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and North Odisha, India during next 12 hrs. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

       According to the (09:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ayeyarwady River at Myitkyina is (762) cm, the water level rose about (11½) feet within (1) day.

       The water levels, which rose at upper Ayeyarwady river, may rise above their present water levels by about (9) feet to (10) feet at Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and  Nyaung Oo during the next (1) to (8) days, about (4½) feet to (8) feet at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the next (8) to (13) days.

       It is advised that the vessels running along the river and those who made plantations on sandbank during these period should make precaution measures for the rise of water level.
