SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Magway and Bago Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.90) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.50) inches in Hkamti, (2.83) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.63) inches in Kawkareik, (2.45) inches in Katha, (2.36) inches in Dawei, (2.13) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.08) inches in Payathonsu, (1.94) inches in Myitkyina, (1.89) inches in Myeik and (1.81) inches in Bago.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
