SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T:  During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Mon States and (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Kayah State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Hakha, (4°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam, Heho and Mongyang and (6°C) each in Loilin, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and further intensify into a Well marked Low Pressure Area on (29.1.2023) and a Depression on (31.1.2023). It is likely to reach Southwest Bay of Bengal and near Siri Linka coast on (1.2.2023). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal, partly cloudy over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyerwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
