BAY INFERENCEAccording to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today,  the Depression over South Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards. It is centered at about (555) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island, (675) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (320) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (400) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Colombo (Sri Lanka)and (440) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Karaikal(India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and West central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Strong winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong winds may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan State.
