BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Mawar” over Philippines Sea has moved Northwestwards and it is forecast slowly continue to move Northwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 30th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States, scattered in Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
