SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Kayin State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Yangon Region and Southern Shan, Mon States and isolated in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayin, Mon States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 45°C in Chauk, 44°C each in Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi and Sinbyugyun and 43°C each in Ann and Pyay. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were 1.65 inches in Yangon (Mingaladon), 1.14 inches in Taungoo(Avia-Met), 1.06 inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), 0.94 inch each in Phyu and Theinzayet, 0.87 inch in Bago, 0.75 inch in Shwekyin, 0.63 inch in Hmawbi and 0.59 inch in Laiway.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayah, Kayin States.
