SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and 2°C below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were observed 43°C each in Tada U(Aviation) and Minbu and 42°C each in Kalewa, Mingin, Monywa, Sagaing, Myinmu, Mandalay, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Sinbyugyun and Pyay on 21-4-2024. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were 0.83 inch in Putao, 0.71 inch in Machanbaw, 0.20 inch in Shwegu and 0.12 inch each in Muse and Hakha.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
