SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Bago Region and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were observed 45.8°C in Chauk, 45.0°C in Magway, 44.5°C each in Nyaung Oo and Minbu, 43.8°C each in Sagaing and Tada U(Aviation), 43.7°C each in Myingyan and Aunglan, 43.6°C in Myinmu and 43.5°C in Monywa on 22-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 0.04 inch in Pyay.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Region and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Kayah States.
